Affiliate policy
How the site earns money
- Links from this site to Amazon UK carry a tracking code. In posts, they are the "Check the price on Amazon" buttons.
- If you follow one of these links and buy something, Amazon pays us a small commission.
- Amazon can also pay on other things you buy soon after you follow the link.
- The price you pay is the same with or without the link.
- As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Why
The commission pays for running the site. It keeps the posts free to read, with no display adverts.
What the money does not change
- No brand, shop or maker pays to appear in a post.
- Amazon has no say over which products we write about, or what we say about them.
- Amazon pays different rates for different kinds of product. The rate does not decide the pick: the verdict comes from what owners report.
- We do not test the products hands-on. How a post is put together is on the About and method page.
How you can tell
- Every post with affiliate links starts with "Ad: this page contains affiliate links."
- The footer of every page carries Amazon's sentence.
- Amazon links are marked as paid links for search engines.
Cookies and privacy
- This site sets no cookies, and it runs no tracking or advertising scripts.
- If you use the light and dark switch, your browser remembers your choice on your own device. Nothing is sent to us.
- When you follow a link to Amazon, Amazon's own cookies and privacy policy apply on Amazon's site.
